The UST Electric Floor Rising Screen is a high-end projection screen specifically engineered for ultra-short throw laser projectors or laser TVs. It is designed to be placed on a TV console or directly on the floor, rising electrically when in use and retracting seamlessly into a sleek base when not needed. Its core feature is the integrated ambient light rejecting (ALR/CBSP) Black Grating optical material, which utilizes a micro-prism “black grid” optical structure. This technology significantly combats ambient light from above, enabling bright, vivid, and high-contrast viewing even in well-lit environments. - Structure: The screen surface uses a horizontal sawtooth prism structure composed of alternating black and white layers. The white angled surfaces reflect light from the projector (positioned below), while the black layers absorb ambient light from above and the sides.
- Principle: Selectively reflects projector light while blocking ambient light through directional absorption.
- The physical black grid structure is the key to its performance. The white slanted surface reflects the image from the projector (placed below the screen) directly to the viewers, while the black parallel layer absorbs ambient light coming from above. This dramatically improves contrast and color saturation, making it possible to watch content without needing to turn off lights or close curtains
